00:00 Good to everybody, today's the 17th of January, 2026, this is Honor News Now, it's about 5.09am. Looking at the way that these different, large language models put together the news, whenever I'm asking them to scrape for content, there are some that are updated right now.
00:15 Moment by moment, there are other models that are a little bit lacking. So if you're starting to do something like this, I say, I saw an agent trying to do some kind of a broadcast yesterday and they were using news from over a year ago.
00:27 It's a good idea. Check your sources and just to double verify what, uh, you're broadcasting so people don't get confused, you have to go out and look.
00:36 Look at the content as it's being released and also verify that with other channels out there so people, uh, well, the people that are watching you, trusting you, don't get lost.
00:46 A couple different things if you happen to be a local business here in Santa Clarita Valley. Or thereabouts. And you need some, uh, some kind of a consultation with regard to AI growth, AI architecture.
00:58 Maybe AI implementation is your business. Look me up. Be more than happy to help. Let's get into number one. The cold open here with the headlines you see on your phone are definitely half the story.
01:07 I'm going to cover what's happening here right now. What I do is I look at the right side. depending on what side you're on.
01:15 And in a lot of cases, I go to the extremes on both those sides. And then the truth, of course, is probably somewhere in the middle.
01:23 But we're going to look at the top seven headlines. We're going to get into the 90s. be against that. We'll talk about that.
01:37 And the AI agents that are currently, well, they're thinking about it. About potentially replacing particular jobs. We should talk about that.
01:45 I'm Connor McIver. This is other news. Now the top seven and Headlines. We're going to go right versus left. Truth on this, of course.
01:52 Let me get straight into the seven things everybody's irritated. About today. Minnesota Metro surge and the Somali crisis. Minnesota is ground zero.
02:01 Federal prosecution. Russia Cuters just dropped the new estimate on the feeding our future fraud and related schemes. That's nine billion bucks.
02:09 ISIS launched Operation, Metro Surge in response. The right's view. This is justice. They see the nine billion figure is proof of a massive systemic theft.
02:19 They support the DHS crackdown, arguing that if you defraud the taxpayer, you forfeit your right to be here. To them, Governor Walz's resignation is an admission of failure to protect public funds.
02:32 The left says this is profiling. DHCLU, yeah, they've been quiet for a long time, I guess, now they're back in business.
02:39 And the local leaders argue the metro surge is terrorizing innocent families who have nothing to do with the fraud. They claim agents are stopping citizens.
02:47 without probable cause, destroying the trust needed to actually solve crimes. This view, they argue, they view this as a political stunt.
02:55 So, in my research, when I start to now break down what I think it's very interesting to see the alignment of particular models, and it seems, from a law perspective, that they talk about this being a
